Basic Information

Check in time is 3:00 pm. Check out time is 11:00 am. If you need to arrive earlier or stay later, let us know and we’ll try to meet your needs. However, if you check-out late of a room that is reserved for check-in by another guest later that day, we will assess a late check-out charge of $10.00 per hour.

We provide cable television with over 75 channels in all our rooms. The eight units at 12100 Gulf have flat screen televisions.

We do not allow pets in our rooms.

We don’t have a pool or hot tubs.

We don’t have WiFi access, but our staff can advise you on local WiFi hot spots.

Smoking is not allowed in our newly remodeled rooms at 12100 Gulf or in our houses. You can smoke in our other rooms at 12035, 12200, and 12204 Gulf.

Our staff knows the area and can provide assistance in making reservations for local attractions, restaurants, and transportation providers.

Our History

Beach House Motel & Apartments We are a small family owned business with over 50 years of hospitality experience on beautiful Treasure Island. For several years after military service in the Korean War and a few too many Chicago winters, Richard “Dick” Slezak traveled the beach communities of Florida’s Gulf Coast looking for the ideal location to fulfill his dream of building and operating a small motel. In 1956 he settled on Treasure Island, acquired a small sandy parcel at 12100 Gulf Boulevard, and constructed the Beach House building. Over the next 50 years, Dick devoted himself to hosting guests in his personal paradise. Here he is in 2006, on the lookout for an arriving guest. Slowly, he expanded the business acquiring several adjacent buildings. Dick also became an active participant in the local business and civic communities. When Dick died unexpectedly in 2008 his family decided to continue the business that was his life.

A Note Concerning Our Reviews on TripAdvisor and other Websites

There are unflattering reviews of us on TripAdvisor and other sites. Pre-2010 complaints about room conditions are likely valid. We’ve responded to these complaints by completely renovating the Beach House building and better maintaining our other buildings. We’ve also tried to be accurate and candid in describing the properties on these pages. Our goal is to provide budget consciousness lodging so our guests can enjoy the natural beauty and many attractions of our Treasure Island location. All guests are encouraged to examine available rooms before checking in. If you don’t like what you see, we encourage you to stay elsewhere. If you do decide to stay with us, we’ll do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable and leave you with enough money to vacation with us again very soon.
